My suggestions for Obama's New Year's Resolutions

It is New Year's Eve, and with all the introspection this  time brings, we still look forward to the coming year, with Resolutions for positive change. Some want to lose weight. Some want to achieve greater success. I have a few suggestions for the President for his New Year's Resolutions;

1.) BE HONEST. After winning Politifact's Lie of the Year, with his Obamatax mendacity. Not to mention the vast array of dishonesty from which to choose, he SHOULD resolve to be honest.

2.) FOLLOW THE CONSTITUTION,  I know he took an oath to  do this very thing, but he has failed miserably. From making recess appointments when the Senate was in session, to attempting to force people to buy a product if his choice, to changing and overturning acts of congress on his  own whim, this has been the most Anti- Constitutional President since FDR.

3.) LEAD. instead of  making pretty speeches(over 5,000 of them at recent count) and demanding others immediately produce his whim, He could learn from former presidents; Bush, Clinton, and Reagan who all got their priorities passed by working with the hostile congresses

4.) STOP the DIVISIVE RHETORIC. Contrary to his egomaniacal, narcissistic worldview, the loyal opposition in congress are not; Jihadists, hostage takers, bomb throwers, Taliban, or any of  the other divisive derogatory names this president has called them. Never before has a president engaged in this despicable  behavior.

Time to put on the big boy pants, strap a set on, and Grow up.

Obamacare meets reality

For many of us critical of Obamacare, to see the debacle of it's inception is not a cause for joy, but more, one of, What were they thinking? Why couldn't they see this coming?

The problems are manifest;

1.) The website: 5M+ lines of code to be rewritten. This is typical government incompetence, and should be enough to give people pause about putting these same boneheads in charge of your health care.

These are not glitches. Even the rare times the website works it is  sending wrong info to the insurers. It  is intentionally quoting reduced prices up front, the sticker chock to come AFTER enrollment.

2.) MOST of the uninsured are not signing up, preferring to wait until  it  is needed, as predicted.

3) The program NEEDS 7-10M young healthy people to pay inflated prices for their  insurance to cover the poor and elderly. They are not signing up, choosing the fine over the high cost of insurance.

4.) The President's  lie. Senate Democrats are floating a bill to make good on the presidents promise. Only problem is that kills Obamatax. If those whose policies are cancelled get to keep  their existing policies, that will change the prices on policies under ACA, as those prices were calculated upon getting EVERYONE in the plan. This means greater sticker shock, and fewer enrollees.

THe problem with Socialist economic thinking is that it substitutes WISHING for THINKING. It ignores human nature, and the simple fact that people respond to economic incentives.

Wishing will not  make it so

Our Two Party system

Currently we have a two party system, The Fascisti(and wannabe Fascisti) are the Demlicans, or Republocrats. The establishment types who have spent a lifetime in Washington, or wish to. And the Liberty, or TEA party. They are the only people standing up for the Constitution and individual freedom.

The Fascisti are working on Amnesty for illegal aliens. They always seek greater control over your life. Any problem must be solved by government even if it was caused by government in the first place, They refuse to think beyond stage one. No secondary or tertiary consequences for them to waste a thought upon, as long as it pleases some special interest group who will give them money to keep them in their Royal  Office.

The Freedom Fighters are echoing the Constitution, that the government is one of enumerated powers. That the true power lies with the States and the People. They cry out for equal treatment under the law. Their mantra is smaller, less intrusive government, less regulation, less control over every aspect of our lives. Contrary to Liberal assertions the TEA party is neither Republocrat, nor Demlican, they stand on principle. They intend to primary Republocrats more than Demlicans.

This is the choice you have, continue to vote for RULERS, who seek only to make compliant subjects of you, or Seek the path once walked by Great men, Men such as Washington, Jefferson, Hamilton, Morris, and Jay.

Bystander-in-Chief

President Obama has, since 2009, been doing his best imitation of Sgt. Schultz from the old Hogan's Hereos. "I see NOTHING! I KNOW NOTHING!

During the Fast and Furious scandal, Obama said he did not know about it until he read it in the news reports.

When asked about the lack of recovery, he claimed he did not know how bad the economy was. Despite his campaign rhetoric to the contrary.

When asked about the Solyndra loans, he claimed to have known nothing about them until he read it  in the papers.

When asked about the Green loans to his donors and bundlers He claimed not to have known about them

When asked about the NSA spying he claimed he did not know until he read it in the news.

When asked about the IRS targeting of conservative groups, he claimed he did not know until he read it in the newspapers.

When asked about Benghazi he claimed he did not know about the security issues until he read it in the news.

When asked about the disastrous Obamacare rollout, he claimed not  to have known anything about the website issues, or the increased premiums until the news stories broke.

This is either the most uninformed ad incompetent president in history; OR, the most dishonest and incompetent president in history.

Fiscal Reality

5 years ago today;

 The National debt stood at $9.9T, today it is $17.1T, up $7.2T or 73%.

Federal Spending was $2.7T against Revenues of $2.55T, Today it is $3.66T against revenues of $2.77T, up 37%.

The Deficit was $299B, or 2.15% Today it is $828B, or 5.5%

There were 13M unemployed, with a Labor Force participation rate of 66.7% Today there are 21.3M unemployed with an LFP of 63.3%, meaning an additional 10.9M are no longer looking for work.

The M1 supply was $1.2T, the M2 was $7.8T, and there was $573T in currency and derivatives.

TODAY the M1 is $3.6T, up 300%!
The M2 is $10.8T, up 39%

Currency and Derivatives stands at $687T, up more than $114 trillion dollars!

This is not only unsustainable, but utterly irresponsible. For those of you who mindlessly champion the clean CR's, and the unadorned debt limit increases YOU are cheering this Administration as they lead us to a financial nightmare vastly worse than that of the Weimar Republic. And we know how that screw up ended.

Lies, Damned Lies, and Default

We have all heard the President warning against DEFAULT! And the Treasury Secretary Warning against DEFAULT!

What they are not telling is that THEY ARE LYING!

A refusal to immediately increase the debt ceiling DOES NOT mean DEFAULT!

And the President is lying when he says, "the debt ceiling will not allow us to add new debt, it is about paying the bill we have already incurred" No, Mr. President it is about adding more debt.

Here are the facts, according to the GAO. The interest on our debt is currently $22B/mo. HOWEVER we bring in $240B/mo. in revenue. Therefore, a refusal to raise the debt ceiling does not mean default. It means the government must cut spending by $22B. Given that the GAO ADMITS to making $132B/yr. in erroneous payment this should not be difficult, That and keeping Obama in Washington for a month would just about do it.

Shutdown Facts

Can we boil out ALL of  the spin, and partisan posturing for a moment?

We are in a partial(17%) government shut down for one Reason. The government failed to pass a budget, in accordance with the law(their 5th years failing to do so) and now  must pass a continuing resolution.

Here are the facts:

Every year the President has passed his budget resolution, Not  by the February deadline, but he did it nonetheless. The House has passed their  budget. And every year the Senate has failed to even write a budget let alone pass one. Harry Reid has said it would be "stupid" for them to do so. This is a violation of federal law. The President has failed to get a single vote for any of his budgets so odious were they, not even one democrat vote.

So we arrive in Sept. needing a CR to  continue. The House passed 6 of them. The Senate refused to  consider any. Then the House passed piecemeal bills  to fund the Democrats complaints while negotiating over the larger issues. The Senate refused to address them. The President has said he will not negotiate. Oh, I'm sorry, he WILL negotiate with Assad, Putin, Rouhani, Kim Jong, but NOT with the House.

So, if you strip away all the positioning and look solely at the law and the facts, the House which the president and his party have branded "terrorists" "Jihadists" "bomb throwers" "Hostage takers" "no different from the slave owners" are the ONLY  branch of government that has done its job. While the President has attempted to use the shut down for political purposes, Armed guards turning away Vets from open air memorials, Closing the OCEAN, they are kidding, right?, telling the park service to make it as painful as possible for the people.

THIS is what my loony lefty friends choose to defend?

Train Wreck Arriving on Track One!

IT IS HERE! Obamacare has arrived! Of course more than half the states are not setting up the exchanges since Obamas attempt to force them to was ruled unconstitutional. And of  the states setting up the exchanges and taking the printed bribe money, over half can not link with the Federal Hub, because the Hub and Portal are not working. Og, and BTW, NONE of this has been tested and they have admitted that it is not secure.

To cure the lack of preparedness on the part of the feds. Obama's plan was to hire minimum wage part time "navigators" through politically favored groups to "guide" people to enroll online through the non working Hub and Portal.

These part time minimum wage workers will have access to your personal info. social security number, etc. The Fraud will be massive.

BUT, The President has, illegally(for where does the president get the authority to change passed law), postponed the Sword of Damocles hanging over Business head. He has given 2,400 of his biggest donors and contributors waivers from Obamacare, subsidized the "WEALTH Barons" in Congress. BUT for the little people, he has refused to postpone anything. YOU MUST PAY IMMEDIATELY! Only Business and donors get breaks in the Obama White House.

Does anyone else see how corrupt this is?

Who do you Believe?

The President reprised his role as prevaricator-in-chief this weekend in an interview with George Stephanopolous, when he claimed he inherited an economy WORSE than the great Depression. Except the the NBER says it was not worse than 1980-82. He claimed he stabilized the economy and we have had 42 straight months of growth(1.7% annually can hardly be termed "growth"), and the creation of 7.5 million new jobs in that time. But the BLS says we have only created 5.1 million jobs, 4.4 million of which are part time. He went on to claim 170,000 new jobs in auto industry AFTER his bailout, but the TRUTH is, according to the BLS, that we are still DOWN 74,000 industry jobs since then.

He claimed that "too big to fail" is a lot less likely to be in place the next time, due to his policies. But Dodd Frank ENSHRINES TBTF as national policy. And he then resorted to possibly the most assinine claim he has ever made. That our slow job growth is due to technology, automation replacing jobs. Atm's replacing tellers. It is embarrassing that a man this uneducated in basic economics is making economic decisions for the nation. it is also proof once again that the words that he speaks bear little relation to reality.

America NEEDS honesty. We DESERVE better than this.

More Liberal Utopian hypocrisy

For ten years Liberals have been telling us we could not trust intelligence that was laid out before the publics eye prior to going to war with Iraq. NOW those same people tell us we must trust the very same intelligence sources but this time they won't show us. THEY are convinced, I doubt they would have accepted that relaxed standard from W.

For ten years they have told us that there was NO REASON, NO NAtional interest in going to war in Iraq. In Libya, Egypt, and now  Syria there is not even the fig leaf of national interest, it is a sectarian civil war. Yet they are beating the drums of war.

They derided Bush for Mission accomplished, but defend Obamas juvenile red line challenge.

In 2002 we had reports from 9 countries intelligence services that Saddam had WMD and was working to get a nuke. That was not enough. NOW we can not even be sure who  set off the Sarin gas, and we must go to war immediately, but now, we can wait a month or so for congress, and it wont be boots on the ground, unless it is boots on the ground, after the limited strike fails to shock and awe.

A little Middle East history; Carter usurped the Shah because he was a dictator, but he maintained stability in the region, and kept the Islamist radicals at bay. Now the radicals are in charge.

Obama undermined Mubarak because he was a dictator. But he maintained stability, and defended American interests, and kept the radical islamists at bay. NOW the Islamists are in charge.

Obama actively helped overthrow Libya, and ushered in the Radical Islamists, now it is a broken country descending into sectarian violence, but ALL the sects have one common enemy, AMERICA! They burn Obama in effigy, for his interference.

NOW, Obama wants to insert the US into ANOTHER sectarian civil war, to affect change, with the most likely outcome being the Alqaeda backed rebels taking over.

WHEN does the president STOP using our money and lives to help our enemies take over countries?

Forgotten Dream

50 years ago, Dr. Martin Luther King had a dream. Today's Liberals have forgotten exactly what that dream was. It was not quotas and racial preferences. It was not welfare, and government housing. It was not single parenthood, and the "soft bigotry of low expectations". It was for his children to be judged by the content of their character, NOT the color of their skin.

For the professional race hustlers of the left who stole his dream, jesse who kept his blood soaked shirt to use as a prop to launch his own career as a racial divider, or Al who lied about a white police officer raping a young black girl to launch his career, the legacy is about consolidating their own power AT THE EXPENSE of their own people.

In 1962, the black marriage rate was 84%, the Black illegitimacy rate was 23.6%. 50 years of government dependency has changed that calculus. Today the marriage rate is 36%. the illegitimacy rate is 71.2%.

40 years ago Daniel Patrick Moynihan wrote his seminal "The Negro family: A Case for national action". In it he decried that 24% illegitimacy rate as the "root cause of all social ills in the Black community". He was immediately denounced by leftist social scientists, claiming that illegitimacy was not a concern, because the government was there to provide money. They also claimed that the government could not insert itself in the life of blacks, they had been through so much. Moynihan was correct. NOW 40 years later we see the direct progression of those social scientists policies, DETROIT!

5 years ago, Bill Cosby was roundly denounced for proclaiming one simple truth. That the BEST thing young black could do to lift themselves out of poverty was; to complete school, to get and hold a job, to not have kids until married. These pathologies, encouraged by government policy and programs for 50 years have wrought poverty and destitution upon the Black population.

It is high time for an HONEST conversation about government social policy. Leave out the intentions, they never materialize into achievement. Deal with the RESULTS.

Prevaricator in Chief

The President had a piece in the Herald today. He continues his practice of lying, as if no  one will bother to fact check him.

He claims; "our businesses have created 7.3 million new jobs over the last 41 months" Yet according to his own BLS, the accurate number is 5.6M in 41 months, STILL negative job growth.

He claimed; "deficits are falling at the fastest rate in 60 years.", Evidently he forgot about 2002-2007, when the deficit fell by 33% per year. Down to only $160B or 1.15% of GDP. Further he ignores that the only  reason deficits are falling is due to the very fiscal restraints he whines about and demonizes Republicans for daily, the 2011 debt ceiling spending caps, and sequester.

He claims; "Health care costs are growing at the slowest rate in 50 years", While his own HHS is projecting the increase in costs for 2014 to be 6.8% after increasing 7.5% this years, and co pays DOUBLING from 2009-2012. Did  he forget the 2000's when costs rose by 4.4%/yr.?

He claims; Working to reverse this trend (people working harder just to get by)is my highest priority", SERIOUSLY? What legislation has he proposed, or presented to ameliorate this? Where was he the last 4 years on this?

His proposed solution? After dumping more than $300B borrowed taxpayer dollars into green energy, to use government stimulus to promote wind, solar, green energy.

It is time to acknowledge that we know this president is lying simply because his lips are moving.

Our Anti-Constitutional President

Obama has proven himself to be the Anti-Constitutional President.


Article 2, Section 2 gives the President the power to fill vacancies in the executive branch WITH THE ADVICE AND CONSENT OF CONGRESS. Obama has violated this a number of times with his illegal NLRB appointments, when the Senate was not in recess. Three Federal Courts have already deemed this illegal, he is appealing to SCOTUS.


Article 2. Section 3. States that he will "he shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed". He has violated this section by refusing to uphold DOMA, even going so far as to challenge it in Court. He has unilaterally decided to postpone his on Obamacare, despite that fact that he does not have the authority to change or fail to uphold ANY law.


Article 4, Section 4, states "The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion" Given Obamas failure to uphold immigration laws, and his Legal challenge to states trying to uphold federal immigration laws, he is willfully ignoring invasion on a daily basis. Not to mention using an Executive Order to enact the DREAM act despite Congress refusal to pass it.


The 1st Amendment states; "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." And yet Obama has ordered that the implementation of Obamacare force Catholic doctors and hospitals to perform abortions, and employers to provide coverage for same. Despite their religious prohibitions against it. he has further violated the Free Press clause with his wiretaps of James Rosen, his family, and office, as well as CBS computers, phones, etc.


The 4th Amendment states; "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized." Need I detail how the NSA spying that Obama defends violates this? Or his executive branch practice of wiretapping reporters, critics, etc.


The 14th Amendment guarantees "Equal treatment under the law". Obama has issued 2,400 waivers to unions and politically connected friends exempting them from Obamacare. He has exempted Congress. He has delayed implementation for business, while keep it for the PEOPLE. Different standards for some is NOT "EQUAL TREATMENT UNDER THE LAW"

The end of the Constitutional Republic

Although America has been descending into Statism as a weigh station on the road to Socialism since Wilson, This president can fairly be called the anti-Constitutional President.

So far he has; Refused to enforce laws with which he disagreed. used EO's to "go around" Congress, Started a military action without congressional  approval, upended bankruptcy laws, change duly passed laws, gone "around congress" to give a billion to the Muslim Brotherhood, invoked executive privilege to thwart congress investigational authority, spent billions of taxpayer dollars to "sell" a law that has already been passed, and much more.

Whether you agree with each of these actions, or  disagree, the damage to the Constitution is palpable. The question for  my leftist/socialist fellow travelers to ask  themselves is;

Would you be happy with these transgressions if Bush did them while in office?

SCOTUS strikes a blow FOR Civil Rights

 SCOTUS struck down a small portion of the 1965 Voting Rights Act, Section 4, on the basis that The formula for determining discriminatory practices in those 9 states is 50 years old, and those conditions largely do not exist anymore. The defense failed to provide any documentary evidence that these 9 states, and six counties are today exhibiting practices that are vastly different from any of the non pre-clearance states. The Court laid it back in Congress lap, to update the laws formula to cease discriminating against those pre-clearance states based upon actions from 50 years ago. CIVIL RIGHTS, are not black, white, brown, Asian, female, male, or any other preferred subgroup. They are CIVIL meaning they apply to everyone. Dr. King dreamed of a colorblind society where his children would be judged NOT by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. That will never be a dream fulfilled as long as government perpetuates a discriminatory system based upon race.

Liberal Fascism

There was a time when Liberals in America were the defenders of civil rights against an establishment government. Now they ARE the Establishment. 

In the past they fought for Freedom of Speech, now they try to restrict speech with which they disagree. In the past they fought for Freedom of the Press, Today they harrass, spy upon, investigate, and castigate reporters, for having contrary political views.

The very same people who whined about USAPATRIOT act, as violative of civil rights, NOW champion the IRS targeting their opponents for no other reason than they they have the wrong opinions, and have criticized the president.

Who was it who said; "To criticize this or any administration is the highest form of Patriotism", Oh yes, it was the harridan of the State dept. for whom it does not matter that her Ambassador was murdered on her failed watch.

Liberal Hypocrisy

In the wake of the Boston Marathon bombing we have learned that this was preventable. Both the White house and Homeland Security received numerous warnings specifically naming Tamerlan Tsarneav as a dangerous person on a terrorist watch list. Russia issued numerous warnings, about his contact with Chechnyan Muslims, and Saudi Arabia notified both the White House that, "based upon human intelligence developed in Yemen",  The Saudis had denied him a Visa for a pilgrimage to Mecca, something that for religious reasons they are loath to deny to Muslims. Yet despite these numerous, specific warnings neither the White House nor DHS did anything. In fact although his travel to Chechnya was noted in a DHS memo, nothing was done, He was approved for travel to an area on the watch list, and back when he himself was on the watch list.

The very same Liberals now pooh poohing these inconvenient details, are the same people that for 12 years have claimed that Bush should have prevented 9/11 based upon a PDB one month prior saying NOTHING MORE than "Osama wants to attack America".

This, like the sweeping under the rug of Benghazi is worse than hypocrisy, it borders upon treason, or at minimum dereliction of duty.

Economics 101

Can we admit one simple truth? ALL prosperity, wealth, revenue, and charity comes from the private sector of the economy. Government produced none of  these.

Now I know that statement is making my loony lefty friends heads pop, but it is true. EVERY SINGLE DOLLAR spent by government must first be produced by the private sector. And the Government NEVER spends it more wisely, or  to greater benefit than the person who owned it originally. Government merely sucks the economic life out of the private sector.

Currently, the federal government eats up 25% of the economy. This means every member of the private sector must work 33% harder to enjoy the same benefit. And this doe snot even include State and local government which eats up another 20% of the economy. This means that people need to produce almost twice as much as they need to support themselves, and the government.

This is why increasing government spending has never been a long term economic boon.

What if GWB had never existed?

I keep hearing Liberals claim that Bush created the recession, the debt, the deficits, Obama’s economic policies, the grassy knoll… etc. But what if He never existed? 9/11, Katrina, tax cuts, wars, etc never happened?

Clinton’s 2000 budget had federal revenues of $ 2.09T, and Federal spending of $1.79T. Assuming we were still following the budget of the Liberal Economic Utopia of 2000, BEFORE the dastardly tax cuts, and war over mythical lies, adjusting for inflation, TODAY’S Revenues would be $ 2,751,968,711. TODAY’S spending would be $ 2,356,949,278.

IN REALITY, Today’s revenues are $ 2.77T slightly HIGHER than they should be under Clinton’s budget, But how can this be? We have been lied to that the tax cuts COST us $3.8T

Today’s Spending is $ 3.88T, $1.62T HIGHER than it should be.

CLEARLY we have a spending problem and not a revenue problem, as claimed by the Democrats.

SOTU: hyperbole, at best.

As usual, our Leaders claims fall far short of truth. He SAID:

Our businesses have created 6.1 million jobs

According the the BLS; His job creation numbers are 634,235 TOTAL. Even if you cherry picked the data and only count from the trough in Dec.2009 the gain is only 4.9 million.

He claimed; "we have doubled the distance that a car can travel on a gallon of gas"

NOPE; he has DECREED that by 2025. But it ain't looking good.

Obama; "Already the ACA is reducing the cost of health insurance"

Someone please tell the HHS, and the IRS, who said last week that the CHEAPEST family plan under Obamatax will be $20k, and will only  cover 65% of costs. They also said that premiums will rise between 85-191% to cover all the mandated overages. AND they exempted kids from employer supported plans, This means that when fully implemented there will STILL be 32,000,000 uninsured. Only 4 million less than BEFORE this  debacle.

Obama; we have cut $2.5 trillion from the debt. Well according to the GAO, we are spending more than ever, and will continue to do so. Perhaps he forgot about the 7.9% BASELINE in the budget?

Or, perhaps, like most politicians he lies when his lips move, and he considers a cut to be a promise, unfulfilled to reduce the rate of growth.

The Liberal Manifesto

In 1848, Karl Marx wrote the Communist Manifesto. It established broad goals for achieving the Socialist Utopia. Among them were;

The abolition of private property.
Free Public education(indoctrination)
Abolition of "eternal Truths", all religion, and morality.
The undermining of the family.
Reliance upon the State.
Disarm the populace
State usurpation of private property.
A Heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
Abolition of all rights of inheritance.

Now, I ask, you to focus upon how many of these are being put into practice today, and by whom?

Free public education, need I explain?

Undermining the family; Look at the Liberal war on homeschooling, upon family values, upon morality. Look at the rampant promotion of promiscuity and moral relativism on TV, and in Movies.

Reliance upon government? Tax the rich? ALL themes in todays culture.

The Liberals in the Democrat party have accelerated from the nascent progressive movement of the 1900's to fully implementing Marx' agenda.

We have seen this movie before, does anyone NOT know how it ends?

Obama the Anti Reagan

With all the pundits proclaiming Obama's inauguration speech as "Reaganesque" I thought a comparison was in order.

Reagan came into office amid the worst recession since the Great Depression. He cut government spending by 5% across the board or $31 billion.($178B in 2011 dollars).

He cut marginal tax rates by 25% across the board. Federal income tax revenues doubled in 5 years!, Unemployment fell from 12% to 6.8%, Inflation fell from 12.8% to 3.2%. Interest rates fell form 21.5% to 8.6%. And the economy grew by 5-6.6%/yr.

Obama entered office to the worst recession since 1982.

He INCREASED spending by more than $1 trillion/ yr. He increased regulation, and gave more than $132 billion to his largest donors and bundlers.

Income tax revenues are stagnant. Unemployment has risen from 7.8% to 10.1%, only falling due to people leaving the labor force. If the LFP rate were the same as it was in Jan. 2009, the unemployment rate would be 10.9% today. GDP growth is stagnant at 1.7%. The Debt has increased by $6 trillion in four years. Trillion dollar deficits every year, and promised for the next ten.
