There was a time when Liberals fought for LIBERTY. When Liberty meant personal freedom. Freedom from government intrusion, and overreach. Freedom from oppression. Freedom to live your life as YOU CHOSE. Freedom to live where you wanted, eat what you wanted, earn whatever your skills would bring, and enjoy the fruits of your labors as YOU SAW FIT.
TODAY, those fighting for these standards upon which our Nation was founded are the TEA party, and are labelled as "racists, bigots, extremeists, radicals, hate mongers" by the self proclaimed Liberals.
TODAY's "Liberals" are in tolerant. neo Fascists who demand fealty and obedience to their dictates. They tell you what to eat, where you can live, how much energy you can use, what you can drive, what you can believe, how you can practice your faith, what doctor you can see, what the doctor can charge you, where you can get medical treatment and what treatment you can receive, and GOD FORBID you do not agree. For then, in true Fascist fashion you will be lablled as hate filled, bigot, DENIER, stupid, or any one of 100 other slurs they routinely use to squelch dissent.
EVERY solution to any problem proposed by a self proclaimed liberal involves putting government in charge of the problem, because the governments track record at fixing problems is a well established failure.
Today' Progressives live in a through the looking glass world where the government ordering you to violate your religious beliefs is liberty, yet you fighting this unconstitutional decree is Fascism. Where the government making policy based upon political consensus is considered science, yet asking scientific questions based upon hard data is being a DENIER. Where handing out other people's money to keep the recipients dependent upon government is compassionate, but teachiing the recipients a skill with which they can become productive is callous. Where allowing a woman the CHOICE to kill her baby is liberating, but allowing her the CHOICE where to send her kids to school is destructive.
We live in a time when Liberty is no longer liberating, because some do not want to accept the responsibilities inherent. Liberals have become the purveyors of neo fascism, and the Constitution has become something even the President works "to get around".

Obama, YOU are the reason.
Obama said "I don't know why they(the Republicans, of course) can't pass the bill"(Immigration reform).
The Answer is YOU.
As always you DEMAND the style without a thought for the substance. And it is YOU making the workable substance impossible.
You demand the "immigration reform" while leaving the details to other as is your habit. While you actively work to make the details impossible to effect.
While claiming the border fence that we paid $15B for is "basically 95% built" it is less than 5% built in the REAL world. While Congress voted down the DREAM act, you put it into effect by EO. YOUR comments and policies have incentivized hundreds of thousands of Central Americans to dump their children on our doorstep. You refuse to see what you have wrought.
Whenever Congress passes a law you do not like, you either refuse to enforce it, or simply change it by EO. And even when they DEEM passed a law you demanded, you change THAT more than 30 times. You claim daily that you will work without COngress if they fail "to do what you want". And you have admitted using EO's to "get around Congress"
While these are impeachable offenses, you have gotten away with them, and sowed the very seeds of your own discontent.
CONGRESS CAN NOT TRUST YOU. Why should they pass something as enormous as immigrationn law, when you have demonstrated your willingness to ignore what they pass in favor of what you want?

Get money out of politics, right?
The ever delusional Harry Reid wants to introduce a Constitutional Amendment to overturn CU, restricting, as he claims; "the ability of the Koch Bros. to buy elections". Of course last week he claimed they were "the main cause of Global Warming".
I never thought I would say this, But, Harry, I agree with you, and REPUBLICANS SHOULD TOO! YES! restrict ALL contributions, INCLUDING the 58 groups who donate vastly MORE than the Koch Bros.
But, Harry, you might want to think this one through, according to opensecrets.org 16 of the top 17 donors donate primarily to DEMOCRATS. Evidently THEY are the truly big money party.
So you want to limit the Kochs, You ALSO have to limit, ActBlue, SEIU, NEA, AFT, Teamsters, AFSCME, IBEW, UAW,National Trial Lawyers, etc. And for the UNIONS this means not only CASH, but "in kind" donations. The phone banks, bussing, canvassing, ALL OF IT!
In the 2008 campaign cycle, this would have CUT Obama's take by $563M. While only reducing Romneys donations by $233M. Go for it Harry!
This should be fun to watch.

Fixing income inequality
The President says the defining challenge of our time is inequality. Not jobs, lack of economic growth, excessive regulation, THe latest economic darling of the left the Marxist economist Thomas Piketty, says we need an 80% tax on incomes over $500k, and a GLobal Wealth tax. There are cries all over the leftist blogs about redistributing wealth. So lets take a concrete example.
According to Forbes, Bill Gates is worth $76B. Of course this is his share of Microsoft. No one needs that kind of wealth. Think of what it would do to the poor. So lets redistribute it. We liquidate Microsoft and give the fortune to everyone below the poverty line. According to the governnment that is 49M people. So each of them gets $1551.00.
THe result? THe poors economic situation is unchanged. They will spend the money and it is gone. Also gone are the 42,000 jobs the fortune supported, plus another 146,000 jobs in support companies. also gone is the $223M Microsoft paid in taxes, and the $36M paid by its employees. GOne is the economic benefit generated by the companies products. Gone is the fortune that generated ALL of this GOOD, PLUS a $24B charity. ALL so 49M people can blow a grand

Rights v. FREEDOMS
Can we clear a few things up? In America we all have certain rights. They are nnot bestowed by government but we are born with them. The purpose of the Constitution is to prevent the government from infringing upon our rights.
We also have certain FREEDOMS, while these are not "rights" we typically call them such. A "Right" is something you have irresptective of other people. Life liberty, pursuit of happiness. These do not dpened upon others and we have these even if no one was around.
However, there has been a push from the political left to morph basic freedoms innto "rights". How can you have a "right" to something that must be provided to you by someoe else? This make them a slave to your desires, for example.
You have the FREEDOM to buy birth conntrol. You do not have the RIGHT to have someone lese pay for it
You have the FREEDOM to earn as much or as little as your abilities warrant. you do not have the RIGHT to an executives pay for a etry level effort.
You have the FREEDOM to purchase health insurance or to go to a doctor. You do not have the RIGHT to force that doctor to work on you.
You have the FREEDOM to go out to eat. You do not have a RIGHT to force that business owner to serve you.
Your Rights do not take precedence over anothers, nor do they alow you to force another to do anything. Live your life, and stop trying to force others to obey your desires.

Politics without substance
This week over half the Democrat Senate Caucus held an all night pajama party to talk about Global Warming.
Never mind that AGW rates near the bottom of peoples concerns in every poll. Nevermind that the overriding issues for people are; Economy, Jobs, Debt, Deficit, not political agendas like AGW.
The amazing thing is THE DEMOCRATS CONTROL THE SENATE!!! They were essentially demanding action from themselves. Add to that the fact they they have not introduced a SINGLE BILL that is on the floor for them to address their comments to.
Yet, their constituents think it is the Republicans thwarting their efforts to get their bill passed. They are ignorant of the fact that there is no bill.
This is the apogee of Democrat political theatre. It will have one benefit, as enviromental groups donated $21.2M to Democrats in 2012, and they need that money again, which was probably the point of this exercise, the feelings of their uninformed voter base aside.
At least when Ted Cruz stood on the floor and spoke, he was advocating a specific set of policies and actions. He had put a bill forward to discuss. Of course no one could foresee that President Obama would give him the very delay he was demanding and villified for. The Democrats can not even rouse themselves to that level of accomplishment.

Obama the Magnificent
Although President Obama has not lived up to his promise for Progressives, nor our expectations of honesty, competence, leadership and integrity for conservatives, the Right should cheer him for perhaps his greatest service to America; He has thoroughly undermined the public's faith in big government to solve problems. He has single handedly halted the Progressives march towards Socialism.
In his sixth year polls find him with numbers similar to the hated W. at this point. But not because the media worked hard for 6 years ginning up hatred of the man and the war, indeed, On Jan. 20, 2009 negative war reporting went the way of the Dodo.
No, his numbers are far more real, they reflect his lies, his immaturity, feckless lack of leadership, stunning ability to continue blaming his predecessor, and the failure of his policies. When 63% feel he is on the wrong tract, when 71% do not believe he is honest, when 66% do not believe the government helps, None of this is good for the big government Statists, and their drive for control.
I, for one, THANK YOU, President Obama for being so utterly incompetent as to undermine your own objectives.

Liberals don't care
Self proclaimed Liberals do not care about; childrens education, the plight of the poor, etc. Oh sure they SAY the right things, the Rhetoric is there, but their policies hurt the very people they profess to care about. For example;
Education: Their policies do not improve educational outcomes, they hurt them, but thay ARE about CONTROL. They spend massive amounts to thwart any alternative education, while locking mainly poor and minority jkds into failing inner city schools, Factories really where kids are pushed along through the system whether they master the material or not. Where tests are faked, so adequate result can be reported to the DoEd. where incompetent teacher are kept on staf because it is all but impossible to fire them. Even President Obama in one of his first official acts ended the wildly successful DC school voucher program, locking those mainly Black children out of the pricey elite private schools he sends his daughters to.
The Poor: Yes profess concern, demand more money be thrown at them, but DO NOT give them skills that they can use to better themselves. Do not let them off the government plantation. LBJ began the war on poverty in 1966, the most MASSIVE FAILURE of government in history. to date, we have spent $16.7 trillion on this effort, when we began in 1966 14.6% of the population, or 29M people lived in poverty according to the census. today it is 15.4% or 47.2M people living in poverty.
